Treated as a “sventramento” on the old village of Madrid early in the twentieth century, Gran Vía was developed in such a short space of time that it presents a compositional homogeneity can only be present working in unison.
Only in very few points the eclecticism of the façades was interrupted with delocalized architecture. We propose to replace it with the challenge of restoring the perceptual identity of the urban axis, without falling into stylistic anachronisms. The balance between voids, the match between axes and color qualification are the architectural elements used.
