Cuba

Size / 750Ha
Client / La Playa Golf & Resorts International
Team / KCAP, Martha Schwartz Partners, GHESA, Marina Projects, Faldo Design, Lambie-Nairn

Drawing on a clear sensitivity to the opportunities presented by the site context and project objectives, the project vision is to create: A world-class coastal oasis, shaped by the sand, sea, mangroves and forest, offering endless ways to enjoy days and nights in a tropical landscape.

The project vision is to set a benchmark for the sensitive integration of development within a natural setting. To provide a flexible, low maintenance design which would protect, regenerate and expand the site’s conservation assets. The project would offer sustainable living and holiday experiences within an integrated natural and built environment, constructed from locally sourced endemic plants and materials, and with an attention to detail producing highly refined forms, responding to the distinctive Guadiana Bay context. It will distinguish Punta Colorada as a global destination that embraces, entertains and educates. It will be an iconic gateway to Cuba that inspires visitors to explore, enjoy and return. A flagship destination offering exciting hotel, shopping and entertainment experiences. Enhancing the natural assets, community spirit and beach culture for generations to come.

It will be a place where nature, culture, leisure, lifestyle and entertainment are an inseparable part of everyday life.
