Located near the junction between the SS124 and the Syracuse-Catania motorway, this hospital will be the first in Italy to have 100% single patient rooms. The new 425 bed-hospital, surrounded by 16,000 square metre urban park and 18,000 square metres of water, will promote comfort, privacy, efficiency.
The volume designed with large internal courtyards and combined with a uniform structural mesh of 8m x 7.8m, maximises the flexibility to address future uncertainties and be able to adapt changing requirements of its community and future demands of healthcare functions.
